(a) In Lawrence County the sheriff shall be entitled to keep and retain the allowances payable by the state, counties, or municipalities for feeding prisoners. (b) This section shall be retroactive to January 1, 1983, and all actions taken by the Sheriff of Lawrence County in accordance with this section are ratified, validated, and confirmed.
