(a) In addition to any and all other compensation, the Sheriff of Lauderdale County shall receive a county supplement of ten thousand dollars ($10,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from county funds. (b) In Lauderdale County, the county supplement for the sheriff’s salary shall be diminished by a sum equal to any increase in the amount of compensation provided by the state, pursuant to Section 36-22-16, as amended or by local law.
