(a) The Judge of Probate of Lamar County shall receive as his or her compensation an amount equal to 90 percent of the total amount paid the presiding circuit judge of the Twenty-fourth Judicial Circuit. The compensation shall be paid out of the General Fund of Lamar County. (b) All fees and monies received by the judge of probate or his or her office shall be deposited into the county general fund. (c) This section shall become effective with the term of office of the Judge of Probate of Lamar County, Alabama, next following May 13, 1988.
