(a) Commencing with the next term of office, the Sheriff of Barbour County shall be paid a salary of forty-seven thousand five hundred dollars ($47,500) per annum, payable in equal installments as other county employees are paid from the county treasury. (b) The compensation herein provided shall be in lieu of any and all other compensation or expense allowance now provided by law.
