(a) The Tax Collector of Etowah County shall be paid the sum of twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per year as compensation for his or her services, which sum shall be in lieu of any and all other compensation or allowances. (b) The salary hereby established shall be paid in equal monthly installments from such funds as otherwise provided by law.
