REPEALED BY ACT 2023-406, EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2023. Each coroner of Coffee County may appoint a deputy coroner to serve at the pleasure of the appointing coroner. A deputy coroner shall take the oath of office required by Section 279 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, shall serve under the supervision of the coroner, and shall perform the same duties and receive the same fees for services performed in the place of the coroner that the coroner would receive in performing similar services.
