(a) Effective beginning the next term of office, the Revenue Commissioner of Cherokee County shall receive an annual salary that is 85 percent of the annual salary of the Judge of Probate of Cherokee County, except as otherwise provided in subsection (b). (b) Subsection (a) does not apply if the result would be a reduction in the annual salary of the revenue commission.
