The secretary of the Board of Adjustment shall make a record of and file in the office of the Secretary of State a history of the case, together with the findings and awards of the Board of Adjustment, and shall deliver to the agencies, commissions, boards, institutions, or departments against whom the award is made and by whom payment must be made a certified copy of its findings and awards. Upon receipt of such a copy of the findings and awards of the Board of Adjustment, the agencies, commissions, boards, institutions, or departments will voucher and certify same to the Comptroller of the State of Alabama who is authorized and directed to draw his or her warrant in favor of the person or persons, association, or corporation found by the Board of Adjustment to be entitled to the damages in the amount of the damages so certified, and he or she shall charge the same to the appropriation as directed in said findings or awards.
