Vacancies. (Amended by Act 2026-327)

AMENDED BY ACT 2026-327, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2026. SEE ACT FOR REVISED LANGUAGE. Upon the death, resignation, failure, or refusal to serve of any appointed commissioner, his or her office shall become vacant, and the Governor, President of the Senate, or the Speaker, as the case may be, shall make an appointment to fill the vacancy for the unexpired term of the former appointee.
