(a) To become a corporation, the three individuals selected pursuant to Section 41-10-302 shall present to the Secretary of State of Alabama an application signed by them which shall set forth: (1) The name and residence of each of the applicants, together with a certified copy of all documents evidencing each applicant’s selection by the commission and approval by the Governor; (2) The name of the proposed corporation, which shall initially be the “Alabama Space Science Exhibit Finance Authority” and, upon proper application filed by the commission with the Secretary of State, shall be renamed the “U.S. Space and Rocket Center Finance Authority”; (3) The location of the principal office of the proposed corporation; and (4) Any other matter relating to the incorporation of the proposed corporation which the applicants may choose to insert and which is not inconsistent with this article. (b) The application shall be subscribed and sworn to by each of the applicants before an officer authorized by the laws of this state to take acknowledgements to deeds. The Secretary of State shall examine the application, and if he or she finds that the application substantially complies with the requirements of this section, he or she shall receive and file the application and record it in an appropriate book of records in his or her office.
