Certificates for Common Carriers and Permits for Contract Carriers - Required

(a) Certificate. No person shall engage in the business of a common carrier by aircraft unless there is in force a certificate issued by the commission authorizing such person to engage in such business. (b) Permit. No person shall engage in the business of a contract carrier by aircraft, except passenger common carriers by aircraft, as provided in subsection (a) of Section 37-9-20, unless there is in force a permit issued by the commission authorizing such person to engage in such business.
