For the purposes of this article, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) LOCAL HEALTH OFFICER. The duly appointed health officer serving a county health department or a district health department. (2) LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT. The county health department or district health department as set forth in Title 22 of this code.
