Assessment and Adjustment of Requirements for Classification of Positions in State Service

The State Director of Personnel shall: (1) Regularly assess the educational, experiential, and training requirements necessary for each classification of positions in the state service. (2) Identify classifications of positions in the state service for which the educational, experiential, or training requirements could be reduced from their present level. (3) Reduce, to the extent practicable, the number of classifications of positions in the state service for which a four-year college degree is required for employment.
