(a) Any dentist holding a permit of authorization issued by the Board of Dental Examiners shall be subject to review and such permit must be renewed annually. (b) The board shall, upon payment of a renewal fee, renew the general anesthesia permit annually unless the holder is informed in writing that a reevaluation of his or her credentials and facility is to be required. In determining whether such reevaluation is necessary, the board shall consider such factors as it deems pertinent including, but not limited to, patient complaints and reports of adverse occurrences. Such reevaluation shall be carried out in the manner described in paragraph b. of subdivision (2) of Section 34-9-60.
