Sunset Provision; Continuing Education. (Amended by Act 2026-162)

AMENDED BY ACT 2026-162, EFFECTIVE OCTOBER 1, 2026. SEE ACT FOR REVISED LANGUAGE. (a) The board is subject to the Alabama Sunset Law of 1981, and is classified as an enumerated agency pursuant to Section 41-20-3. The board shall automatically terminate on October 1, 2026, and every four years thereafter, unless continued pursuant to the Alabama Sunset Law. (b) The board shall adopt a program of continuing education for licensees which shall be a requisite for the renewal of licenses issued pursuant to this chapter and not exceed the requirements of a board-approved nationally recognized board certification organization such as the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.
