(a) A violation of this chapter by a security officer or an armed security officer shall be punishable by a fine of not less than seventy-five dollars ($75) nor more than five thousand dollars ($5,000) per violation and may result in the probation, revocation, or suspension of the license or certification, or both, of the violator. (b) Any person who practices or offers to practice as a security officer or an armed security officer in this state without a license or certification issued and approved by the board shall be guilty of a Class A misdemeanor.
