(a) The board shall adopt and enforce for the protection of the public health, safety, and welfare reasonable rules pursuant to the Alabama Administrative Procedure Act. (b) The board may establish committees and subcommittees, hold hearings, conduct investigations, subpoena witnesses, subpoena documents, administer oaths, and take testimony in order to carry out this chapter. (c) A committee or subcommittee established by the board may conduct meetings, hold hearings, conduct investigations, subpoena witnesses, subpoena documents, administer oaths, and take testimony to carry out matters related to this chapter and may perform any other duty prescribed by the board. Each committee and subcommittee shall report any findings and recommendations to the board for approval.
