Reinstatement of Certification Following Cancellation, Suspension, or Revocation

(a) Any person whose boater safety certification has been cancelled, suspended, or revoked, upon application for reinstatement of the certification, shall pay to the secretary a fee of fifty dollars ($50) for each cancellation, suspension, or revocation action. An additional fifty dollars ($50) shall be imposed if the cancelled, suspended, or revoked certification is not voluntarily surrendered within 30 days of a cancellation, suspension, or revocation notice. (b) Upon receipt of the reinstatement fee, clearance for recertification shall be provided. The second and any subsequent clearance for recertification for this action shall be provided for a fee of five dollars ($5). (c) Upon reinstatement, the holder shall obtain a duplicate certification with a new photograph and current personal data. (d) Fees collected under this section shall be deposited into the State Treasury to the credit of the State Water Safety Fund.
