(a) The commission shall have a financial and compliance audit performed each year and supply a copy of the audit to the Alabama State Port Authority and the Alabama Department of Commerce. In addition, an audit may be requested at any time by the Alabama State Port Authority or the Alabama Department of Commerce. (b) The commission created in this chapter shall be specifically excluded from Chapter 20 of Title 41, the Alabama Sunset Law.
