(a) A producer shall keep for a period of not less than three years, or two years for business produced under limited lines credit insurance authority, at his or her place of business complete records pertaining to transactions under the producer’s license. (b) Upon the commissioner’s request, the producer shall furnish a verified copy of these records to the commissioner to aid in the collection of all privilege taxes due in this state. (c) The licensee shall exhibit to an insured, at any reasonable time during business hours, records in the producer’s office pertaining to policies of the insured upon the insured’s demand.
