(a) The following entities shall have access to the information contained in the State Directory of New Hires: (1) The Department of Human Resources. (2) State agencies operating employment security and workers’ compensation programs. (3) State agencies responsible for administering a program specified in Section 1137(b), Social Security Act, pertaining to the Income Eligibility Verification System. (b) If approved by the Secretary of Health and Human Services, the custodian of records may gain access to information contained in the National Directory of New Hires. The cost of obtaining the information shall be paid by the department at a rate determined to be reasonable by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
