(a) The provisions of this article are cumulative and insofar as possible, they shall be construed in pari materia with other laws relating to the public health and anatomical gifts. (b) At such time that standards of quality assurance for the acquisition and/or transporting and/or transplanting of donated organs, bones and tissues are adopted by the federal government, said Alabama standards of quality assurance shall be consistent with the appropriate federal regulations.
