For the purposes of this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings respectively ascribed to them by this section: (1) COMMISSION MERCHANT. Every person who shall receive, sell or offer for sale on commission within this state any kind of farm products. (2) FARM PRODUCTS. Except as otherwise provided, such term shall include all agricultural, horticultural, vegetable and fruit products of the soil, meats, marine food products, poultry, eggs, dairy products, wool, hides, feathers, nuts and honey, but shall not apply to seeds sold at retail, nor include timber products, tea, coffee or pelts of fur-bearing animals.
