Members of the authority shall be appointed for four-year terms. Commencing on August 1, 2009, members appointed to the authority who are also members of the Alabama Educational Television Commission shall be appointed to a term on the authority that is concurrent in duration with the term of the member on the commission. The membership of the authority and the commission shall be inclusive and reflect the racial, gender, geographic, urban/rural, and economic diversity of the state.
