Public High School Graduation Examination Available to Nonpublic High School Students

(a) If the State Board of Education requires public high school students to take a high school graduation examination prior to graduation, the board shall make the examination available to nonpublic high school students in the state. (b) This section shall not be construed as requiring nonpublic high schools to give the graduation examination. The examination shall be made available to nonpublic high school students so that those students may use the results of the examination to satisfy admission requirements of institutions of higher education. (c) The board may establish and charge each nonpublic high school student taking the examination a reasonable fee to cover costs of providing the examination. (d) The board may promulgate necessary rules and regulations to implement this section.
