Pardon or Parole of Persons Convicted of Sex Offense Involving a Child

(a) Notwithstanding Section 15-22-36, any person convicted of a sex offense involving a child as defined in Section 15-20A-4, which is a Class A or B felony, shall not be eligible for parole. (b) Notwithstanding Section 15-22-36, any person convicted of a sex offense involving a child as defined in Section 15-20A-4, shall not be eligible for a pardon.
