(a) It shall be the duty of the Board of Corrections to supervise, either in person or by deputy, the feeding of all prisoners in the jails of this state. The sheriffs shall not be required to prepare and make out what is commonly known as the daily ration sheet or expense account, which means a daily record of foods served to prisoners. (b) The county commission of each county shall supervise the feeding of all prisoners in the county jails over which it has jurisdiction.
