Purchase, Possession, and Sale of Certain Catalytic Converters - Providing False, Fraudulent, Altered, or Counterfeit Information or Documentation

(a) It is unlawful for a possessor or seller of a used, detached catalytic converter, or any nonferrous part of a catalytic converter, to provide any false, fraudulent, altered, or counterfeit information or documentation as required by Section 13A-8-37.3. (b) A person who commits a violation of this section is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor. On a second or subsequent violation within a 10-year period, the person is guilty of a Class C felony.
