(a) Upon request, a city or county may install a deaf or blind child area sign to warn drivers in the area that a deaf or blind child resides on a residential road or street. (b) The cost of the sign may be paid by the requesting party, a private individual, or a neighborhood association. (c) The county or city shall review annually the placement of a sign that has been installed pursuant to this section to ensure that the placement is still applicable.
