Mr. Justice Blackmun, with whom Mr. Justice Rehnquist joins, dissenting. I think it somewhat unfortunate that the Government sought a reversal in this case primarily to vindicate an extreme view of the Fourth Amendment that would restrict the protection of the Warrant Clause to private dwellings and a few other “high privacy” areas.
