ROVNER, Circuit Judge. Robert J. Pierson, an inmate of the Indiana State Prison, was assaulted by fellow inmate Jeremy Wilkinson while he slept. Wilkinson beat Pierson with brass locks stuffed in a sock, gashing his head and knees and crushing his left testicle.
