Jasen, J. On April 24, 1972, the Suffolk County police, executing a search warrant at the premises of Douglas Hicks, found evidence implicating Hicks in a number of burglaries. As a result, Hicks was indicted for the crime of burglary in the third degree and for two counts of grand larceny in the third degree.
