FLOYD R. GIBSON, Senior Circuit Judge. Prater appeals the district court’s determination that he violated McLaurin’s Eighth Amendment right to be free from cruel and unusual punishment. McLaurin cross-appeals the district court’s decision declining to rule on his various state-law claims.
