KELLER, P.J., filed a dissenting opinion. I would hold that the scope of appellate jurisdiction after adjudication depends upon the relief sought: appellate courts do not have jurisdiction over claims that seek to overturn the trial court’s adjudication of guilt, but do have jurisdiction over claims that seek a new punishment hearing. This rule upholds the plain language of the statute and is easy to apply.…
